Dr. Michael Huhn  studied Chemistry at the Aachen Technical Institute (RWTH Aachen) .  Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) in the field of organometallic chemistry and catalysis .  post-doc fellow in Strasbourg and in Toulouse (both in France) continuing research on catalysis. He has held a position as in-house counsel at Firmenich SA in Geneva, Switzerland, one of the world's most reputable companies in flavours and fragrances. In 2003 he was co-founder and name-partner of Isenbruck Bösl Hörschler Wichmann Huhn, now Isenbruck Bösl Hörschler.Michael has extensive experience in patent prosecution and patent litigation. He has particular knowledge and experience in the field of chemistry and biochemistry, pharmacy and diagnostics. He has worked with large companies in chemical and pharmaceutical industry where he also was involved in IP due diligence and negotiations on licence agreements. He also advises small and medium sized enterprises in the chemistry biotech field, in particular with portfolio management and patent strategy. Michael is a member of epi, FICPI and GRUR. He is active in the Licensing Executive Society LES, where he headed a work group on technology transfer (FIT group) within LES Germany. Michael has published articles on the protection of pharmaceutical inventions and is active as lecturer. Michael speaks German and is also fluent in English French and Dutch. One of Michael’s favorite leisure acitvities is cooking (strongly influenced by French cuisine) which is complemented by his passion for good wine.He compensates his culinary activities in particular by cycling and (catamaran) sailing.
